Biography

Hadewych de Vos is a young Dutch violinist, praised for her intelligent and honest playing. She studied with Philippe Graffin at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, where she graduated in 2026 with a “mention très bien à l’unanimité”. Previously, she was a student of Vera Beths and Tjeerd Top at the conservatories of The Hague and Amsterdam. She also studied baroque violin with Emmanuel Resche-Caserta and François Fernandez.

Chamber music holds a special place in Hadewych’s heart. For years, she was first violinist of the Pelargos Quartet (2016-2021), with whom she performed Stockhausen’s Helikopter-Streichquartett at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam in 2019. Since 2026, Hadewych is a member of the Dutch StringWood Ensemble and the Parisian baroque ensemble Il Pavone. She enjoys taking the stage in varying chamber music formations, as recently during Festival Ravel 2026. In 2025, she performed Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante on historical instruments at Château de Fontainebleau.

Hadewych gained orchestra experience in notably the European Union Youth Orchestra. She regularly substitutes in professional orchestras, such as the Dutch Radio Filharmonisch Orkest. She is a member of the Experience Scheme of The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment in London, as well as the NOVA Academy of the Balthasar Neumann Orchester, and played with Les Musiciens du Louvre.

Alongside her violin studies, Hadewych obtained a bachelor degree in Life Science and Technology from the universities of Leiden and Delft.
